Salamander Sinkers
Use 20 lb test line (preferable
30 lb braid) on your pole. Tie the line to the open end
of the sinker with your favorite knot. For the leader line
use 4 - 12 lb fluorocarbon or monofiliment line and add
your favorite bait.
When a snag occurs 99% of the time it is the hook catching
an obstruction. Pull on the pole line and break the leader.
Retie a new leader, hook, and rebait. For efficiency tie
several leaders and hooks before you
Retype frequently to prevent
knot and line failure.
